Are you considering a career in software engineering after graduation, but worried you might not meet all the requirements?Cudos will explain how such a career change is possible and will answer, among others, the following questions: • ⁠​What can you do during your studies to prepare yourself in the best possible way? • ⁠​What should you keep in mind when writing your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis? • ⁠​What entry opportunities does Cudos offer? • ⁠​How can you best prepare for technical job interviews? After the talk, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions and chat over an apéro with the CEO and a software engineer from Cudos (both of whom are career changers). The presentation will be held in German.

We begin with a keynote from the ETH Career Center on “Job Market Basics”. Many graduates are eager to start their job search but may be unsure about the Swiss job market and the range of roles available. This session will provide an overview of the job landscape and offer practical guidance on how to navigate it effectively. The main part of the event is a panel discussion with former AMIV students – now established in their careers at KPMG Switzerland, GRITEC, AXPO, and Sensirion. They will reflect on their diverse journeys, sharing insights into their fields and positions, the skills that matter most, and how they found their way into their current roles.
